1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email, institutional affiliation, ORCID iD), research data and protocols you upload, and usage data such as pages visited and features used.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the Service, connect you with other researchers, award LSC tokens for contributions, send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset), and improve the platform.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Research data you mark as “public” is visible to other LabShare users. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for research purposes. We use Supabase for database hosting and Vercel for platform hosting — both are SOC 2 compliant.

4. ORCID Integration

If you connect your ORCID account, we access your public ORCID profile to verify your researcher identity. We do not write to your ORCID record without explicit permission.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Research data you've shared may be retained in anonymized form.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@labshare.ai.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for authentication sessions and security. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
